It’s the kind of game in which, even after writing the analysis, we’ll certainly go back to more sessions with our friends, but it was already so with Left 4 Dead, the game of which Back 4 Blood is the spiritual successor.

After all it’s the same studio and the same concept, and the only reason Back 4 Blood free download isn’t called Left 4 Dead is because that license belongs to Valve, and Turtle Rock is now working with Warner Bros. But the essence is the same: try to survive the hordes of zombies (or Ridden in this case) with a group formed by four players.

Back 4 Blood was expected to be a game primarily suitable for online gameplay, but the way Turtle Rock Studios talked about the solo campaign, made it supposition that offline gameplay would also be a valid option.

Well, to some extent it is, but not as we expected. The offline campaign doesn’t allow you to access any card progress mechanics, doesn’t offer points, and doesn’t even unlock trophies or achievements. Worse still, the artificial intelligence companions that accompany the player are true assholes, making the experience even more frustrating.

As we mentioned, we already expected Back 4 Blood download pc to be a game suitable for online gameplay, but if that’s the case, then don’t promote the solo campaign as if it were a valid option, because it isn’t. Turtle Rock Studios has meanwhile stated that it is listening to feedback from players, but has not stretched any further than that.

Overall it seems to us that Back 4 Blood is a worthy heir to Left 4 Dead. It includes all the ingredients that made this game so memorable, and then adds some of your own ideas.
